Jang Geun Seok è famoso soprattutto per aver interpretato Kim Eun-ho, il fidanzato di Hwang Jin-yi nel drama Hwang Jin-i e anche per aver fatto parte del cast nel drama Hong Gil Dong interpretando il Principe Lee Changhwi. Ha inoltre recenemente ottenuto dei riconoscimenti per aver interpretato Kang Gun Woo nel drama "Beethoven Virus" e Hwang Tae-kyung in You're Beautiful. E' stato anche uno degli attori che è apparso sul photoshoot "Kolon Christmas Photo Shoot" nel 2008, insieme ad altri attori Joo Jin Mo, Song Il-gook, Ko Soo, e Park Jae-jung.
